Reading a wiki is the way of the internet, not just a rare occurrence when you’re in too deep. Although they’ll still support you during the toughest of times too.

Wikis, where terminology flows, myth is dispelled and frustrations are vented. Online community shares it’s similarities, but it also stands out in many aspects. Your identity is one that you’re familiar with, but on the internet identity isn’t the same. In real life you can walk into a room of strangers and vibe everyone up. Not on the internet. You either have an entire history of valor or a username and a profile picture that sum you up. Either way you are individualized and left to the whim of people’s imagination.

This is no way to join a community. Before you’ve even begun you chop yourself up dreaming of the ways it might not go to your liking. So forget all that the internet can be, and remember you just need some help with your computer. Get started, read the wiki, search for your problem, find your savior. If you can’t find a savior, become someone else’s. Learn how to contribute to the forum, request an elder’s guidance, participate in the community’s dialogue.
